Walk in faith, do good works
Syxivm is a brand that was born of struggle; The struggle we all face in life, when we think we are invincible and that we can go it alone. We cannot go alone. We need help. We need others around us who believe in us and who support us in all of our endeavors to succeed. And we especially need God.
We are called to be good stewards. We are called to do our best at all times. We are called to take care of ourselves, to take care of our loved ones, and to take care of the earth. From Genesis we are blessed. And we are given the earth to care for it. This is our stewardship, to care for the earth.
We are also called to work together to do good works and to spread the word. Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am among them, says Jesus. We are called to work together to do God's work on earth. When we work together to glorify Him, great things ensue.
The original derivation of the name comes from a confluence of words and thoughts. Syxivm was divinely inspired. It comes from the works: Seek Him. It also comes from six players in volleyball, that all players must play and work together. It also comes from the word used by the desert fathers of the Christian faith: hesychia. The desert fathers of the early church renounced their earthly possessions to glorify God in all their work. Hesychia means to pray ceaselessly in all that you do.
Lastly, Syxivm is an homage to the early christians who worshipped in secret, lest they be held captive and perhaps killed for pledging their faith in Jesus Christ. As part of the faith, the early church used the expression in the ancient Greek for fish: IXOYE. Syxivm incorporates the letters of the "Jesus Fish" in the name. While IXOYE is the spelling for the word fish in ancient Greek, the word is also an acronym encompassing the totality of the faith:
IX = Jesus Christ
O = Father
Y = Son
E = Holy Spirit (savior)
The Foundation
